My father passed away when he was just 45 Years old. He was the heart and backbone of our family. A dedicated electrical and mechanical engineer who worked tirelessly to provide for us. Life as we knew it changed overnight when he was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Within six short months, he was gone. I was only 18, and losing him felt like the ground had disappeared beneath my feet.
What little savings he had worked so hard for were wiped out by hospital bills. Suddenly, we had nothing. As the eldest of four siblings, I felt the weight of the world on my shoulders. My mom, a homemaker her entire life, was left with no income, and we had no idea how we’d keep going. Along with the grief, there was this suffocating fear of what would happen to us.
We did what we could. Out of sheer desperation, we started selling food on the streets just to survive. There were days we went hungry, nights we had no roof over our heads, and countless moments filled with frustration and uncertainty. Those times were painful, but they also taught us something we never expected—how to endure, how to fight, and how to keep going, no matter how impossible it seemed.
Before my father passed away, he mentioned his life insurance, and we tried to claim it. But since he worked overseas, getting through to the company was nearly impossible. We had so few resources, and when we finally did, they denied the claim because he had passed away in his home country. That rejection hit us like a brick wall—we were devastated, left feeling completely hopeless.
Then, one day, one of my father’s friends from North America came to visit. When he heard about our situation, he offered to help. We handed him all the documents and medical records we had. Thankfully, the insurance company was based in North America, and a few months later, we got a letter saying my father was eligible for the claim. They listed the documents we needed to submit, and for the first time in a long while, we felt a spark of hope.
But that hope quickly turned into more frustration. My mom didn’t know how to handle the paperwork, and every time she asked for help—from lawyers or other people—they demanded huge fees, taking advantage of our desperation. My mom refused to give in, but that left us stuck.
For five long years, we searched for someone who could truly help us without trying to take advantage. During that time, we went through so much hardship. My siblings and I had to stop going to school, and life felt like one endless struggle. Our hopes felt shattered, like pieces of broken glass we couldn’t put back together. Those years left a mark we’ll never forget.

Those years left a mark we’ll never forget.
After five long years of waiting and struggling, we finally completed all the documents we needed for the insurance claim. Just as we were ready to move forward, another challenge hit us—a final ultimatum from the insurance company. They said if we didn’t submit the paperwork immediately, the claim would be forfeited. It felt like the clock was ticking on everything we had worked so hard for. Thankfully, by some stroke of luck or fate, we had finished the documents on the same day the letter arrived.
A month after sending everything in, we finally received the cheque. It was divided equally among the five of us since my siblings had already become adults. That money didn’t just help us, it gave us our lives back. It allowed us to get back on our feet, go back to school, and dream again.
My two brothers became engineers, my sister became a nurse, and I became a website developer. That insurance claim wasn’t just money, it was hope. It gave us the chance to carry on my father’s legacy, to build the future he always wanted for us. In many ways, it felt like he was still taking care of us, even after he was gone. Life insurance didn’t just save us; it gave us a second chance.
I want to help you because I’ve been through the experience of not having life insurance, and I know how hard it can be. I’ve seen firsthand what it feels like to struggle, to feel the weight of not having enough, and the sadness, fear, and devastation that comes when a family loses someone and doesn’t have the protection they need. As a young adult, I felt all of that, and it’s something I never want anyone to go through if I can help it.
But with life insurance, I’ve also seen how it changes everything. It gives families the security to know that even when you're no longer around, they’ll still have the support they need. I believe we all want to protect the ones we love, and that’s exactly what life insurance does. We love our families, and it’s our job to make sure they’re safe. I’m here to work with you, to make sure you’re covered and that your loved ones are protected, no matter what. Let’s make sure they’re taken care of, together.
